Optimal Biz for Mobile is an application that securely manages smartphones and tablet devices provided by or used in the office. By installing the app on iPhone, iPad, Windows, Android™ devices and web browsers, IT administrators can easily:
• Remotely lock a device if the device is lost or stolen
• Prohibit certain applications that are business-irrelevant
• Set Wi-Fi settings
• Manage device information as assets
Optimal Biz for Mobile provides unique, powerful advantages that other vendors don’t, including a user-friendly interface, a successful track record with many major companies, the broadest coverage of any support solution in the industry, and partnerships with key device makers.
For Windows8.1, Optimal Biz for Mobile offers its signature “Push Notification” for Remote Lock of lost/stolen devices. Other standard functions include:
• Application Prohibition: Prevents illegal app use on Windows devices
• System Security: Activates firewall; automatic execution of Windows Update
• Device Restriction: Restricts USB, CD/DVD/Blu-ray
• System Diagnosis: Diagnoses Hard Disc error, CPU temperature and System Recovery
Report output and alert notifications are also available. Enhanced functions, i.e. encryption and remote wipe, are currently in the pipeline.
