Optimal Biz, Japan’s #1 MDM, has upgraded to version 7.1.0!
~ Business applications and basic MDM functionalities have been enhanced ~

Tokyo (September 26, 2014) - OPTiM, a leading provider of online IT support solutions that enable creativity, collaboration and convenience, proudly announces that Optimal Biz (Japan’s #1※1 MDM※2) was upgraded to version 7.1.0 on September 12. Featuring enhanced business support applications, users can now operate their iOS devices at work more conveniently than ever.

As part of this upgrade, Windows Server®※3 is now available as an additional supported OS, enabling comprehensive in-office management of IT devices. Moreover, to strengthen information leakage prevention, basic MDM functionalities have been enhanced -- i.e. the “Prohibit USB” feature, which prohibits connecting a USB to portable devices like smartphones and digital cameras. New features have also been added, including the Windows® RT 8.1-compatible web filtering function※4 being used by Ritsumeikan Primary School.

Optimal Biz Web Filtering Powered by i-FILTER ・Links to the management site and the user manual have been added on the Optimal Biz management site iOS

※Some functions may require an optional contract before using.
