has been upgraded to version 7.5.0
More strengthened security features for Windows®
TOKYO, Japan (December 16, 2015) – OPTiM (TSE: 3694), a leading provider of business-related applications for smart devices, announced that Optimal Biz (Japan's #1※1 SaaS※2 type MDM※3 for four straight years) was upgraded to version 7.5.0 on December 16, 2015.
Recently, the share of Windows® devices in the enterprise market has been growing.※4 OPTiM, in accordance with such needs of the enterprise market, has been strengthening features that contribute to improving the security of Windows®.
This upgrade focuses on such security concerns. Specifically, an administrator can designate and apply password policy settings and the screen saver for a Windows® device. Also, a feature is now added for application launch limitation, which performs filtering of an application acquired from the Windows® Store according to its age ratings for devices authenticated by the MS-MDM feature. This allows for much more secure utilization of mobile Windows® devices for business and Windows® devices for education.
